Why We Ask For Your Budget

It’s time for Mr. Krabs’ favorite topic: money!

It’s kind of scary when a service provider asks you for a budget, isn’t it?

“What if they are trying to take advantage of me?” You start to fret. “What if what I’m looking for actually costs less than what my budget is? Are they going to overcharge me if I tell them?”

While a used car salesman might do this to you, I can promise that we won’t. Here are some reasons we might ask you for a budget.

1) You Mentioned It

Many clients will say that they are considering a weekly or a biweekly service “depending on the price.” We completely understand that you are working within a specific household budget- we do too! If you are choosing between packages to keep within a certain price range, we can advise you much more effectively if we know what budget we are working with.

2) It’s Easier To Customize Based on Budget

If we know what your specific budget is, we can build you a package that meets your needs without exceeding your budget. Maybe skipping a rarely-used guest suite or leaving out the downstairs living room that only gets decorated for the holidays will help us to get you to the price you’d like to pay. We are happy to find creative solutions for you, and we can do it much quicker if we know what your financial goals are instead of making repeated stabs in the dark.

3) To Ensure We Don’t Waste Each Other’s Time

As a bonded, insured, certified, and professional company, we soak a lot of expenses; so we do have to have a minimum price to send a crew out. For some families, our minimum is out of their price range. That’s okay! Your budget is valid no matter what your magic number is. But what we don’t want is to come out and do a consultation just to sticker shock the heck out of you- yikes! Being upfront about your budget helps us find a solution for you: even if it’s with another company. We believe all families deserve help around the house: whether we provide it or not.
