Residential Recurring Services 101

So you’re ready to hire a House Cleaning Technician— congratulations! I know how hard it can be to trust a new person in your home and how much courage it takes to make this call. This is an incredible step for your family time and mental health, and for what it’s worth: I’m proud of you.

For a lot of first-time customers, this can be an unfamiliar process, so let’s demystify a little. In this blog post, I will review our process, our packages, our FAQs, and what we are looking for in a client.

The Process

  • You submit your request for an estimate. (You can request one here)

  • You review our Terms of Service

    • You are here

  • We send a detailed estimate based on the information provided & call to discuss.

  • Agree on the estimated price & Terms of Service.

  • You pay appropriate deposit (50% of first visit estimate).

  • We schedule your first cleaning visit— yay!

  • At your first visit, you also get to meet our General Manager.

    • Meet your cleaning technician

    • Ask any questions you have

    • Get expert advice about your home

    • Convert estimate into a down-to-the-penny Service Agreement

  • Receive your services & be billed for other 50% of first bill.

    • If there's a problem, contact us that day: we’d love to help!

    • If everything looks great, leave us a review!

7. If you aren't available for a walkthrough at the end of the job, no worries: you can take advantage of our 24 Hour Satisfaction Guarantee. If you report a deficiency within 24 hours of your clean, we will re-dispatch your team to make it right at no charge.

The Packages

Every Week

Weekly services include all supplies, equipment, and labor. All we need is access to the home. We arrive on the same day, at the same time, and with the same crew each week. We can customize a service by including and excluding areas of your home. Only use the finished basement for guests and holidays? No worries. We can exclude it from your regular rotation, and include it for an additional fee only when you ask. We can also customizing by adding line items to your service agreement (but not subtracting). We conduct a Deep Clean followed by three Basic Cleans in a four-week rotation. This four-week rotation helps us control for 5-week months without wrecking your schedule.

Every Other Week

Every other week services also include all supplies, equipment and labor. We arrive on the same day, at the same time, and with the same crew each week. Frequently Asked Questions

  • Three things: access to the home, utilities on, and a credit card on file. That’s it. You have enough on your plate, so don’t worry: we will take care of everything else.

  • We do not. Demand is so high with only weekly and biweekly services that we aren’t able to complicate things by adding other frequencies. We average 48 calls a day! Plus for most families, once a month isn’t enough help!

  • No. We used to do that, but nobody was happy: who is happy when they still have to dust? The Basic Clean is really only designed to maintain between Deep Cleans.

  • You don’t! In fact, we prefer if you are absent for a couple reasons. 1) There’s a pandemic going on. 2) We’re shy: we don’t want you to hear us singing Disney songs while we clean.

  • No. We understand that we may be in your home for a season or for a reason. Plus we think it’s fair that we earn your business every time we are here.

  • If your fur babies are nice, definitely let them stay in the home. The second best part of our job is hanging out with your pets! (The best part is making your life easier). We would like a crate or bedroom to confine them to while mopping: pets don’t know to avoid walking on wet floors!

  • We offer a Satisfaction Guarantee. If you find any deficiencies, call or email within 24 hours of your appointment, and we will send a crew back out for free, to fix those items. We do not offer discounts or refunds. This is our only recourse for customer complaints, so please communicate proactively!

Our Ideal Client

As a mission-driven company, we don’t just take on any client. Our business model focuses on providing excellent customer service and first-class cleaning to our smallest viable audience: the customers who believe what we believe, treat people the way we treat people, and dream of the same kind and compassionate world that we envision. Our client list is a who’s-who of the kindest and most progressive families in the Flint Hills. It’s an exclusive club!

Why? We hire immigrants, DACA recipients, military spouses, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and so many others in protected or vulnerable classes. As a business owner, it is my job to ensure the safety and comfort of my team at all times. We are only looking for clients who value our services; treat our staff with respect; communicate promptly, kindly, and effectively; and support us with as much love as we will devote to you.

If you believe that cleaning is “unskilled labor” and that people who work in our industry do not deserve a living wage; if you raise your voice at service industry personnel; if you believe immigrants are “ruining our country;” or if you oppose LGBTQIA+ rights, please move along. The norm in our industry is to mistreat and underpay cleaning technicians— any other company in our market can meet your needs while supporting your ideology. We are the only cleaning company in the Flint Hills that isn’t built to cater to you.

If you are relieved to have help around the house and treat service workers with gratitude and grace; if you believe everyone deserves a living wage; if you support immigrants and LGBTQIA+ people, request your consultation today. We will move mountains to work with you. You’re our tribe and we love you.
